Nona

Nona van der Wansem, known as Nona, is a Dutch singer who combines soul, blues, rock and pop into a raw and personal sound. Her lyrics explore loss, love, self-acceptance and resilience.

After her father's death when she was 14, music became her anchor. She sang on the streets, in bars and at local jam sessions, gradually building her own style. In 2018 she broke through with 'It's Alright', followed by her debut album 'Nona' in 2019 and performances at Pinkpop, Down The Rabbit Hole, Paaspop and North Sea Jazz.

After a period of stillness and self-reflection in Denmark, she returned to the Netherlands, where she signed with V2 Records. Her new work is less polished and more honest than what she made before.
