Kruidkoek & Joost Oomen

Joost Oomen is a house poet, city poet, office poet - put him anywhere and he makes poetry. Not safe rhymes, but absurdist word art that melts your frontal lobe. And just when you think it can't get weirder, he appears with a Frisian garage-jazz ensemble.

That ensemble is Kruidkoek: five hyperactive jazz punks making sophisticated conservatory-core for drinkers, or making drinking sophisticated - it depends how you look at it. After a few minutes you only see stars.

Together it sounds like Villa Achterwerk meets Anthony Szmierek meets Jules Deelder at 7 in the morning. Poetry for the dance floor, verse for the pit.
