IST IST

No band from Manchester is quite as Manchester as IST IST. Four serious Britons in black suits and Ray Ban sunglasses, with a driving, taut 80s post-punk sound and a resonant voice that would give Ian Curtis chills. For more than twelve years they have held their ground in the grey sea of British post-punk bands - thanks to their own distinctive character and an unmistakable nostalgia for the 1980s.

They have already played at Paradiso, Doornroosje and the Albert Hall in their hometown Manchester, and released five albums, two of which made the Album Top 40. On the wave of their recent successful album DAGGER, the band is touring the continent.

On 18 October they come to Utrecht for the first time, for a performance at De Helling. Ticket sales start on 17 July at 11:00.
