IST IST are a post-punk band from Manchester, formed in 2014 by vocalist/guitarist Adam Houghton, bassist Andy Keating and drummer Joel Kay, later joined by keyboardist/guitarist Mat Peters. Building their reputation through relentless touring and word of mouth rather than industry machinery, they release everything through their own Kind Violence Records label. Their fifth album DAGGER (2026) hit number one on the UK Independent Albums Chart and reached number 21 on the Official UK Albums Chart.
