An Evening of Voice Solo

Three improvised solo sets for voice by singers Vera Morais, Jodi Gilbert and Almut Kühne. Between the sets, Michael Moore plays short interludes on clarinet.

Solo concerts by singers are rare in improvised music. Gilbert has been a fixture in the Amsterdam scene for years; Morais recently became part of it after moving to the city to study at the Conservatorium; Kühne is a Berlin-based singer with a track record in both improvised and contemporary music.

Three voices from different generations, with diverse backgrounds and musical aesthetics, yet connected by an uninhibited and adventurous approach to singing.
