Michael Moore Universe 4tet

Michael Moore's Universe Quartet performs programmes under the banner 'Ballads & Dedications' - two forms that offer musical freedom. The quartet features Guillermo Celano on guitar, Omer Govreen on double bass, and Onno Govaert on drums. Together they present new and older compositions rooted in jazz, Latin, and improvisation.

The California-born saxophonist and clarinetist has been active in the Amsterdam jazz scene for years: as a composing member of the ICP Orchestra, as leader of his own bands, and as owner of the Ramboy label. He has previously collaborated with Lee Konitz, Dave Douglas, Kenny Wheeler, and Mark Feldman.
