About

Michael Moore (born 1954 in Eureka, California) is an American alto saxophonist, clarinetist and composer who has made Amsterdam his home since 1982. Trained at the New England Conservatory under Jaki Byard and Gunther Schuller, he became a central figure in European improvised music through his long membership of the ICP Orchestra, his leadership of Available Jelly and the Clusone Trio, and his teaching at the Conservatory of Amsterdam.
