Village walk through Ooltgensplaat

Ooltgensplaat stands apart from other villages on Goeree-Overflakkee because of its past as a fort village. While fishing or agriculture were central elsewhere, the strategic location here shaped the history: the village served to defend Holland's vulnerable underbelly.
