Description was written before the event

On Sunday, 4 October, Fort bij Spijkerboor hosts OERRR Autumn Fun. During this children's adventure, you explore the fort and search for bats (not real ones) and other creatures preparing for winter.

You craft your own bat and listen to stories from the fort keepers about how the fort prepares for the winter season.

About the venue: Fort bij Spijkerboor

Fort bij Spijkerboor is a nineteenth-century fortification that forms part of the Stelling van Amsterdam, the UNESCO World Heritage ring of defences around the Dutch capital. Situated in the Beemster polder, the fort hosts cultural events, guided tours and outdoor activities. The combination of moats, earthworks and open countryside gives it a distinctive character.
