Walk into the Light

Walk into the Light is an annual national event held during World Suicide Prevention Week in September. At dozens of locations across the Netherlands, people walk together towards sunrise - a symbolic moment to reflect on the impact of suicidality and the importance of attention, support, and prevention.

The Klundert edition takes place on 8 September 2026. The starting point is Zevenbergseweg at the path towards the Stenen Poppen. Gathering from 06:00, the walk begins at 06:20.

The walk is for anyone who feels touched by this issue: people who struggle or have struggled with suicidal thoughts, loved ones, bereaved families, care workers, and others affected. Walking together - in conversation or in silence - creates space for connection and recognition.
