A Tribe Called Quest - The Low End Theory | Deep Listening Session — Teylers Museum (Pieter Teylers Huis), Haarlem

During the Haarlem Vinyl Festival, Pitchblack Playback, FFF Sound System and Koda organize four deep listening sessions at Teylers Museum. The concept is straightforward: phone away, eyes closed, and listen to the album from start to finish in a pitch-black room - with complete focus.

The sessions take place in the Netherlands' oldest museum, which opened its doors in 1784. The sound is provided by FFF Sound System, a high-fidelity four-way horn system from Rotterdam, designed and built by Form Follows Frequency. The system is carefully tuned for each session to match the acoustics of the space, so every detail of the music comes through with great clarity.

On the programme is The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest (1991), with its warm basslines, jazz influences and inventive production. The album runs 48:03 and is played straight through. This session marks the album's 35th anniversary.

📅 Sunday | ⏰ 14:00 - 16:00

The ticket includes a recycled cotton eye mask and museum access. Note: doors close when the event begins. Latecomers will not be admitted.
