Night of the Bat in Bentwoud

Staatsbosbeheer organizes an evening excursion in Bentwoud on Saturday, August 29, specially designed to explore bats. Guided by experienced naturalists, you'll search for these nocturnal creatures and learn about their lives: are they blind, how many species live in the Netherlands, what do they eat, and what role do they play in the ecosystem? With special equipment, you can also hear the bats.

The excursion starts at 20:30 and ends around 22:00. The meeting point is the car park at Bentwoud Oost entrance, Sportlaan, 2771 RV Boskoop (next to Floreant football club). Participation costs € 8,10 for adults and € 5,25 for children aged 10-12.

The excursion is suitable for participants from age 10 onwards. Since the path leaves the main trail, good walking ability is required. Wear sturdy shoes and long trousers, and bring a torch. Registration is available via the Staatsbosbeheer website.
