Friendly Connection Course

Starting Friday 18 September, De Hoofdzaak in Hoorn offers the "Friendly Connection" course. The course is free and open to all residents of West-Friesland.

The course is designed for people with psychological vulnerability who face a higher risk of loneliness. You explore your own social needs and current network, and work towards a personal goal - such as making new contacts or deepening existing ones.

During the sessions you examine your own view of friendship and what you contribute to a relationship. You learn to handle changes in relationships and the expectations you have of yourself and others with more nuance. You also practice making contact, from a first meeting to deepening a bond, and explore your own boundaries within friendship. The final session is a closing that the group organizes itself.
