Rif/Engelsmanplaat

The sandbanks of Engelsmanplaat and the Rif lie between Ameland and Schiermonnikoog, far from civilization. Dozens of seals rest on the western side, in spring terns breed in the dunes, and thousands of wading birds forage in the mudflats for food. We are guests here.
