Airborne Museum Hartenstein occupies the villa that served as British 1st Airborne Division headquarters during the Battle of Arnhem in September 1944. Its collection covers Operation Market Garden through weapons, equipment and personal effects, while an extensive underground exhibition tells the story from the perspectives of both soldiers and civilians caught up in the fighting.
