As I Left

Who are you? And who do you become when you must flee your country, learn the harsh sides of the world, and are seen as 'the other' by those around you?

In the theatre production As I Left My Father's House, three characters - with Christian, Jewish and Islamic backgrounds - each tell their own story. Through monologues, poetic texts and live music, themes such as displacement, identity and the passing of stories to the next generation are explored.

The production is based on personal histories and universal spirituality, and explores struggle, hope and inner strength in times of despair.
