As I Left tour 2026

Who are you? And who do you become when you must flee your country, learn the harsh sides of the world, and are seen by those around you as 'the other'?

In the theatre production As I Left My Father's House, three characters - with Christian, Jewish and Islamic backgrounds - each tell their own story. Through monologues, poetic texts and live music, themes such as displacement, identity and the passing on of stories to the next generation are explored.

The production takes place in the Bonifaciuskerk in Medemblik, as part of the As I Left tour 2026.
