Sesjun Sunday

On the initiative of pianist-composer Henri Noorlander and percussionist Paul Scheepmaker, Muziekpodium DJS organizes a jazz improvisation session for instrumentalists, singers and vocalists on the first Sunday of every month.

A fixed rhythm section opens with a first set; in the second set the participants play together. Each edition features a list of 10 songs from which participants can choose - without rehearsal, without fixed arrangements. This requires good listening, improvisation and real ensemble playing.
