Artvark Saxophone Quartet

Artvark Saxophone Quartet throws caution to the wind: four saxophonists move across the stage in improvised choreography. Original compositions, distinctive soloists, and the adventurous groove of four saxophones take centre stage.

The ensemble: Rolf Delfos (alto sax), Bart Wirtz (alto sax), Mete Erker (tenor sax), and Peter Broekhuizen (baritone sax). Each brings their own background; together they create one recognizable sound. The quartet has performed at major international festivals and toured in Ireland, Turkey, and South Africa multiple times.

Artvark has also collaborated with jazz legend Peter Erskine, Senegalese master drummer Doudou n'Diaye Rose, and minimalist composer Philip Glass.
