Raven is a heavy metal band from Newcastle upon Tyne, founded in 1974 by the Gallagher brothers. In 1980, the line-up solidified with drummer Rob Hunter, and the trio became one of the defining acts of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM). With albums like Rock Until You Drop, Wiped Out and All For One, they built a solid reputation - and gave Metallica and Anthrax their first tours. In 2025, their 16th studio album Can't Take Away The Fire was released via Silver Lining Music, featuring the Gallagher brothers (vocals/bass and guitar) and drummer Mike Heller (ex-Fear Factory).
