Dudley Taft

Dudley Taft is an American blues rock guitarist, singer-songwriter and bandleader. He grew up in the Midwest and studied at Berklee College of Music, developing a sound that combines Delta blues, Southern influences and energetic guitar playing with solid songwriting. His career began with Space Antelope, followed by extensive touring in the 1990s with Sweet Water and Second Coming. Since 2006 he has built a solo career in blues rock, releasing a series of studio and live albums. From 2012 onwards he has been a regular guest on European tours. In 2017 he was nominated for Best Guitarist at the European Blues Awards; he also scored four number 1 entries in the Hit Tracks Top 100 and reached number 1 on the American Blues Rock Albums chart with The Speed of Life (2025).
