Lying Concert: Canto Ostinato at Soefitempel Katwijk aan Zee

The Soefitempel in Katwijk aan Zee sits in the dunes beneath a golden dome with remarkable acoustics - full, warm, and tones that resonate unusually long. During a lying concert, you experience how the music reflects off the dome's curved shape. Afterwards, you can linger in the dunes or take a beach walk. Ample paid parking is available.

The programme features an evening-length performance of Canto Ostinato. Carice van Houten wrote about experiencing this piece while lying down in her Nieuwe Revu column "Train Journey on a Yoga Mat": "People say you experience it like a train ride, where you pass through multiple landscapes... And there I lay... After a few minutes I opened my eyes and looked around. It was such a sweet sight - all those adults lying still, smiling, not quite with their thumbs in their mouths, yet on an adventure. Ninety minutes later I stepped off the train. Absolutely blissful."
