Project Dokhuis Dreams: Cooking Workshop

Project Dokhuis Dreams is a new initiative by Dokhuis for people in the asylum process who have a dream they want to make real. The project helps them take a first concrete step while bringing their talents to light.

The first participant is Samaher. Her dream: to share her culture by teaching Syrian cooking workshops in Dutch. During this afternoon you cook together with her and learn to prepare traditional Syrian dishes. Afterwards you hear the story behind the project - the challenges along the way and how one dream became a first achievable project.

15:30 - 16:00 | Arrival
Come in, have a drink and meet the other participants.

16:00 - 17:30 | Syrian cooking workshop
Cook together with Samaher and learn to prepare traditional Syrian dishes.

17:30 - 18:00 | Presentation: Project Dokhuis Dreams
The story behind the project, Samaher's dream and the journey we took together to make that first step possible.

18:00 - 19:00 | Shared meal
The afternoon concludes with a communal meal of everything we prepared together.
