Buurtmakers Art Festival

At the Buurtmakers art festival, you can choose from eight workshops in the different spaces of De Buurvrouw Larikslaan. All workshops start on the hour.

Mosaic - Create one large artwork from small pieces of glass, ceramic, tiles or pebbles.

Make your own mini-furniture - The Wood and Furnishing College introduces you to woodworking: measuring, sawing, planing and making your own mini-furniture.

Paint by pedalling - Paint by cycling. You get on the bike, put your feet on the pedals and the result speaks for itself.

Light buttons - Make a button and add a light using technical materials. This workshop has limited places per round - sign up to secure your spot. There are also some walk-in places for those who arrive first.

Letterpress - A real printing press rolls into the main hall. Use it to print your own design on paper, a bag or other fabric.

Gelliprint - Apply acrylic paint to a flexible printing plate, add texture with stencils or stamps, place paper on top and peel it off for a unique print. This workshop also has limited places per round; signing up guarantees a spot, but there are also walk-in places for those who arrive first.

Decorate tableware - Paint or decorate a plate or bowl to your liking. You can bake it at home in the oven afterwards.

Scrap - Create something new from surplus (industrial) materials and learn how to reuse materials by giving them your own twist.
