Lézard + Chouchou est là
Lézard moves along the fault line between comedy and tragedy, blending post-punk, disco, glam rock, new wave and electroclash into a singular sound. Their debut album Que Se Passe t-il is a diorama populated by heartbreakers, voyeurs, escapists and dreamers - all gathered beneath a shattered disco ball. The five band members turn the camera restlessly on themselves: what on earth is happening on this great blue rock?
With "Nothing At All" as their opening salvo, Lézard quickly became a live sensation. The band has played Pukkelpop, Best Kept Secret, Eurosonic, Reeperbahn Festival, MaMA Festival, The Great Escape, Nurnberg Pop, Left of the Dial and Radiance. Que Se Passe t-il is simultaneously a break-up and a comeback record: the party phase is in the rear-view mirror, the ghosts of hazy nights compressed and released as defiant disco-punk.
Support act Chouchou est là brings exclusively original work - adventurous, eclectic and sometimes contrary, with angular grooves, danceable rhythms and distinctive melodies.
