Grote Geelstaart

On Friday, 8 January 2027, Grote Geelstaart performs at Podium De Piek in Vlissingen.

The Zeeland-based band combines noise rock, angular synths, chaotic rhythms and distorted disco beats. After performances at Valkhof Festival, Into The Great Wide Open and Hit The City, the band toured the country with their debut EP Van Reijnst during the Popronde. In 2026 came Noorderslag and festivals including Best Kept Secret, Dauwpop and Oerol, plus shows in Belgium, Germany and Portugal. With the Wij Zinken tour, Grote Geelstaart continues this trajectory - shows at Roodkapje and Paradiso are already sold out.

Live, two drum kits and an extensive collection of effect pedals combine into a sound that constantly teeters on the edge. The compositions flow into one another and grow into a continuous stream of rhythm, noise and robotic vocals - delivered by a band that takes no half measures behind the neat shirts and ties on stage.
