Spot aan! Children's Book Week - Kids 4+

De Buurtjes van Marlies perform improvisational theatre for everyone aged 4 to 104. This afternoon's theme ties in with Children's Book Week: 'On Stage!'

No one knows exactly what will happen beforehand - not even the performers themselves. They improvise based on suggestions from the audience, which today come from the children. The children decide the location or subject of a scene, add an emotion or invent a strange character trait. Do you need a visitor, a thick book with a fountain pen or a boat? Then the children can join the scene themselves. Grandparents are happily used as a kitchen mixer, printing press or bookshelf.

You can also direct, if you dare - you'll get a helping hand. Faster, more exuberant, with a tear or without words: anything goes. It creates hilarious scenes, but also touching moments, always with different children in the lead role.

After the show there's time for a drink at De Buurvrouw and a meet & greet with the performers.
