Zjwieg is a punk band from the western mining district of Sittard-Geleen that sings entirely in the Limburgish dialect. Founded in late 2019 after a tipsy encounter with fellow dialect-punk act Konstepaasje, the four-piece has grown into one of the most distinctive voices in Limburg's pop scene. Across four albums - including the award-winning Hub geer auch nonnevotte? - they blend hard punk and metal with proudly local language and humour.
Zjwieg won de Limburgse Popprijs 2025 in de categorie 'Album van het Jaar' met hun vierde album Hub geer auch nonnevotte?, gekozen uit twintig genomineerde albums.
De band nam een nieuwe videoclip op op het podium van André Rieu op het Vrijthof in Maastricht.
Zjwieg trad op tijdens de Nach van 't Limburgse Leed in Venlo, met het nieuwe album Hub geer auch nonnevotte? in de hand.
Het derde album Hub geer auch sjoes? werd gepresenteerd met een releaseshow in Poppodium Volt in Sittard.
