Thijs Boontjes (born Schagen, 1987) is an Amsterdam-based singer, keyboardist and songwriter who launched his solo career in 2015 with the Thijs Boontjes Dans- en Showorkest. His Dutch-language pop blends the working-class directness of André Hazes with a Herman Brood-style rock attitude, sharpened by social commentary and self-deprecating wit. Before going solo he played keys for Anouk and Douwe Bob. Albums *Geen Achttien Meer* (2019) and *Dancing Boontjes* (2024), plus appearances at Pinkpop, Down the Rabbit Hole and Zwarte Cross, have made him a fixture on the Dutch live circuit.
