Skroetfest
Skroetfest 2027 celebrates its fifth edition with The Toy Dolls as the first headliner. The British punk band plays their cult classics with fast riffs and plenty of humour.
The Toy Dolls are a British punk rock band from Sunderland, formed in October 1979. Guitarist and vocalist Michael 'Olga' Algar has been the sole constant member through decades of lineup changes. Their breakneck punk cover of 'Nellie the Elephant' reached No. 4 on the UK Singles Chart in 1984 and remains their best-known track. With over four decades of albums and relentless touring across Europe and Japan, they are one of the most enduring acts in international punk.
The Toy Dolls started their 2026 tour with shows in Spain and France, followed by performances in Sweden and Greece.
Olga announced that the band started writing a new album after the summer festivals of 2025.
The band played multiple summer festivals in Europe, including performances in Germany, Czech Republic and France.
Cherry Red Records released a 2-CD compilation with all the band's singles, including 'Nellie the Elephant' and other indie hits.
