The Necks is an Australian piano trio known for extended, hypnotic improvisations that unfold as single continuous pieces. Formed in 1987, the group consists of pianist Chris Abrahams, bassist Lloyd Swanton and drummer Tony Buck. Their music sits somewhere between jazz, minimalism and ambient, and no two performances are alike.
