Spartan Warrior are a heavy metal band from Sunderland, England, formed in 1980 from the remnants of local act Deceiver. Their debut Steel 'n' Chains (1983) and the follow-up Spartan Warrior (1984, Roadrunner Records) established them as solid representatives of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. After splitting in 1985, four original members reunited in 2008; the band has since released Behind Closed Eyes (2010) and Hell to Pay (2018).

The band played in February 2025 at Ivory Blacks in Glasgow, with songs such as 'Easy Prey', 'Assassin' and 'Cold Hearted' in the setlist.

The fourth studio album Hell to Pay was released on 23 February 2018 via Pure Steel Records.
