Dreambug + Rockpool Dramas + Doubland
Three Amsterdam indie rock bands - Dreambug, Rockpool Dramas and Doubland - deliver an evening of ethereal and angular guitar pop at FLUOR.
Rockpool Dramas are an Amsterdam-based quartet playing guitar pop with a rough edge, mixing alt-rock and Americana with fuzzed-out power pop. The band grew out of a solo project by British singer-songwriter Stanley Ward, who started in Sheffield before relocating to the Netherlands and building an international lineup: a Dutch heavy-metal drummer, a Spanish jazz-fusion bassist, and an Argentinian guitarist with a classical composition background. In June 2025 they won the Zonneprijs, Amsterdam's Indiestad talent competition with its final at Paradiso, and their music has received airplay on BBC Radio 6.
Rockpool Dramas released their EP 'Adult Contemporary' via APOLLO Distribution, a five-track record that combines guitar-driven indie rock with shoegaze and home-recording textures.
The new single 'Metaphor' was released on 31 August 2025 and was positively received by international music blogs.
Rockpool Dramas won the final of the Zonneprijs on 5 June 2025 in the Grote Zaal of Paradiso Amsterdam, a talent competition with a prize fund of € 10,000.
The band was selected for the Popronde 2025, the national tour through more than forty Dutch cities from September to November.
The EP 'Rockpool Dramas' and the single 'Birdbath' were released in 2024; music blogs such as Start-Track praised the band's sincere, energetic indie rock.
