October Rust is a Type O Negative tribute band from Ghent, Belgium, covering the full catalogue of the iconic gothic metal group. Because Peter Steele's stage presence was simply too large for one person to replicate, the band splits his role between two performers. Their setlist spans the band's career, from early cuts like 'Black No. 1' to later material from albums such as World Coming Down and Life Is Killing Me. The name is taken from Type O Negative's 1996 album of the same title.
October Rust performed at Haunting the Castle VI on 27 February 2026, for which the band received positive reviews in Heretik Magazine.
The band announced a special anniversary show around the 30th anniversary of the Type O Negative album October Rust, with a tour through Belgium and Europe.
October Rust performed on 12 December 2025 at Corneel in Lelystad, together with Sepultura tribute band Inner Self.
On 29 November 2025, October Rust took the stage at 't Beest in Goes.
