Myrath
Tunisian progressive metal band Myrath takes the stage in Zoetermeer.
Myrath is a Tunisian-French progressive metal band founded in 2001 in Ezzahra by then-13-year-old guitarist Malek Ben Arbia, originally under the name X-Tazy. They were the first Tunisian act to sign with a European record label, and broke through internationally with albums such as 'Tales of the Sands' (2011) and 'Legacy' (2016). Their self-described 'Blazing Desert Metal' sound weaves progressive and power metal together with North African and Arabic instrumentation. Seven studio albums, headline slots at Hellfest, Wacken and Sweden Rock, and a performance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar have cemented their reputation as one of metal's most distinctive voices.
Myrath released the single 'Through the Seasons' accompanied by an official tour video of the first European tour leg, and announced a second tour leg for autumn 2026.
The seventh studio album 'Wilderness of Mirrors' was released on 27 March 2026 via earMUSIC and reached the eighth position in the French Rock & Metal album chart.
Myrath announced the album 'Wilderness of Mirrors' and released the single 'Until the End', a duet with Elize Ryd from Amaranthe.
The sixth studio album 'Karma' was released on 8 March 2024 via earMUSIC.
Myrath performed at the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, allowing the band to reach a worldwide audience.
