About

Monolord are a Swedish doom metal trio from Gothenburg, formed in 2013 by Thomas V. Jäger (guitar/vocals), Esben Willems (drums) and Mika Häkki (bass). Albums like Rust (2017) and Your Time to Shine (2021) cemented their standing as one of doom's most consistent acts, and a deal with Relapse Records followed in 2018. Their sixth album, Neverending, arrived in May 2026, recorded with acclaimed producer Sylvia Massy.
