Monolord is a Swedish doom metal trio from Gothenburg, formed in 2013. They build their sound on crushing, slow-moving riffs and a thick, hypnotic atmosphere rooted in classic stoner and doom metal. Their 2017 album Rust is widely regarded as a standout record in contemporary doom.
