Deva Premal & Miten
Deva Premal & Miten bring their mantra-singing concerts to Almere with special guests Joby Baker and Lady Phyl.
Miten, born Andy Desmond in 1947 near London, started out in the British folk and rock scene of the 1960s and 70s - co-founding the duo Gothic Horizon and performing alongside acts such as Fleetwood Mac and Ry Cooder. A spiritual turning point in 1980 led him away from rock music and toward meditation and mantra. Since then he and his life partner Deva Premal have become one of the most recognised names in sacred chant, bringing Sanskrit mantras and original songs to concert halls and festivals worldwide, with combined album sales of over one million on their own Prabhu Music label.
Miten and Deva Premal released the new song 'Maestro Cacao', their most recent release.
The duo announced the European tour 'Singing Our Prayers 2026', with performances in twelve cities spread across the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom, among others.
Miten and Deva Premal announced a South America tour for 2026 - their first in more than ten years - with shows in Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Colombia.
The live album 'All the Birds Fly Home', recorded in Munich, was released in 2024.
