Marble Sounds
Marble Sounds takes the stage at Gebouw-T for an evening of electronic and experimental music.
Marble Sounds is the project of Ghent-based musician Pieter Van Dessel, who launched it in 2007 while living in Montreal before returning to Belgium and building it into a full band. Their sound - layered guitars, piano, strings and understated vocals - earned them a devoted following across Belgium and the Netherlands. The 2013 single 'Leave A Light On' became a Belpop classic, and the self-titled fifth album (2022) drew rare five-star reviews. Sixth album 'Core Memory' arrived in March 2025, marking a shift towards synth-driven pop.
The sixth studio album 'Core Memory' was released on 7 March 2025 via Mayway Records, featuring ten tracks and a new, synth-driven sound.
The release tour for 'Core Memory' started in spring 2025 in the Netherlands and Belgium, with shows in Gouda, Antwerpen and Brugge, among others.
Marble Sounds performs on 17 December 2025 at Melkweg in Amsterdam and on 20 December 2025 at SPOT De Oosterpoort in Groningen.
The single 'An Emotional High' was released as the first preview of 'Core Memory' and was described as sparkling, epic indie pop.
The self-titled fifth album 'Marble Sounds' was released on 7 October 2022 and received, among other things, a rare 5-star review from the Belgian weekly magazine Humo.
