Little Barrie
British rock band Little Barrie performs at Paard.
Little Barrie are a British rock trio from Nottingham, formed in 2000 by guitarist and vocalist Barrie Cadogan, bassist Lewis Wharton and drummer Tony Coote. Their sound weaves blues, garage rock, funk and psychedelia into something that nods to the 1960s British beat scene without ever sounding like a museum piece. Cadogan composed and performed the main title theme for the acclaimed TV series Better Call Saul, and has toured as guitarist with Primal Scream, Liam Gallagher and The Black Keys. Their seventh studio album Gravity Freeze, released in May 2026, is their first record under the Little Barrie name since the death of drummer Virgil Howe in 2017.
Little Barrie released the album Gravity Freeze on May 22, 2026 via Easy Eye Sound, their first release under the band name since 2017.
Gravity Freeze received positive reviews from Uncut (8/10), Mojo (4/5) and Shindig! (4/5), among others.
On February 26, 2026, the band members announced they would perform and record as Little Barrie again, for the first time since 2017.
Barrie Cadogan joined The Black Keys as an additional touring guitarist for their US dates starting May 27, 2026.
Little Barrie released the album Electric War in April 2025 via Easy Eye Sound, in collaboration with drummer Malcolm Catto of The Heliocentrics.
