He performs as a soloist, in chamber music settings, and with orchestras including the Residentie Orkest and Sinfonia Rotterdam. With Katie Morgan he forms the piano duo MorganvanNee, which won the Grachtenfestival Conservatoire Competition in 2024; he also co-founded the Audax Piano Trio. In 2025 he released his debut CD through the AVROTROS talent programme VIRTUOOS, interweaving Schumann's Kinderszenen with his own compositions.
Van Nee was a guest in the NPO Klassiek studio of De Klassieken, where he performed from his debut CD and presented a new work by composer Noëmi Schermann.
His debut CD, released through the AVROTROS talent program VIRTUOOS, appeared at the end of August for members of AVROTROS Klassiek.
On the debut CD, Van Nee alternates nine movements from Schumann's Kinderszenen with his own compositions, based on motifs by Schumann.
The piano duo MorganvanNee won the Grachtenfestival Conservatorium Concours 2024; the jury praised the duo as 'playful, spontaneous, colorful and enormously virtuosic'.
MorganvanNee performed at the Pianoduo Festival Amsterdam 2024 in De Duif, with a program of Van Nee's own work and orchestral arrangements by Ravel and Khachaturian.
