WonderYears plays Stevie Wonder
WonderYears revives Stevie Wonder's legendary 1970s albums in an acoustic jazz setting, featuring saxophonist Jasper Blom, bassist Sean Fasciani, and drummer Felix Schlarmann.
Jasper Blom (born 1965, Geldrop) is one of the most versatile tenor and soprano saxophonists on the Dutch jazz scene, working as a bandleader, composer and teacher at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. He studied with Dave Liebman, Bob Brookmeyer and Joe Lovano, and has performed alongside Chet Baker, Lee Konitz and Nat Adderley, among others. His accolades include the Buma Boy Edgar Prize 2019 - the most prestigious award for jazz and improvised music in the Netherlands - and two European Jazz Competition wins. In May 2025 his long-running Jasper Blom Quartet released Metropolarity, a collaboration with the Metropole Orkest.
The Jasper Blom Quartet released the album Metropolarity on May 9, 2025 on Whirlwind Recordings, a collaboration with the Metropole Orkest.
