Ground Control is the longest-running David Bowie tribute band in the Netherlands, performing for well over a decade. Frontman Ries de Wit - who has lived and breathed Bowie since childhood - brings his own authentic voice to the material rather than copying mannerisms. The six-piece band from Arnhem spans Bowie's full career, from Space Oddity through to Lazarus, backed by visuals referencing his iconic stage personas. Their full concert runs two sets totalling around two and a half hours.
Ground Control performs on 17 October 2026 at Musicon in The Hague.
The band performed at Stadspodium GO in Leerdam.
Poppodium The Cube in Boskoop received a positive review after Ground Control's performance.
