About

Dr. Feelgood are an English pub rock band from Canvey Island, Essex, formed in 1971. Their raw, no-frills R&B - built on Wilko Johnson's choppy guitar and Lee Brilleaux's growling vocals - made them a cornerstone of the British pub rock scene and a direct forerunner of punk. The live album 'Stupidity' (1976) hit number one on the UK Albums Chart. Following Brilleaux's death in 1994, the band has continued touring with a current line-up of vocalist Robert Kane, guitarist Gordon Russell, bassist Phil Mitchell and drummer Kevin Morris.
