Dar Williams is an American singer-songwriter known for introspective folk-pop and sharply observed storytelling lyrics. She emerged as part of the 1990s American folk revival alongside artists such as Ani DiFranco, releasing albums like 'The Honesty Room' and 'Mortal City'. She still tours with intimate acoustic shows built around her own guitar and piano songs, and in September 2025 she released her 13th studio album, 'Hummingbird Highway', on DiFranco's label Righteous Babe Records.
Dar Williams released her thirteenth studio album 'Hummingbird Highway' on September 12, 2025, her first new studio work in four years.
Ani DiFranco welcomed Dar Williams to her record label Righteous Babe Records in April 2025.
In October 2025, she participated together with Susan Werner and Heather Maloney in a European river cruise with concerts and meet-and-greets, titled 'Rhine, Women and Song'.
To promote the new album, the 'Hummingbird Highway World Tour 2026' has been announced, with dates in the US, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
According to Songkick, Dar Williams is currently touring through 4 countries with 12 announced concerts.
