About
Coroner is a Swiss technical thrash metal band from Zürich, founded in 1983. The trio - Ron Broder on bass and vocals, Tommy Vetterli on guitar, and Diego Rapacchietti on drums - built a cult following in the late 1980s and early 1990s with five albums that pushed thrash metal into increasingly progressive and experimental territory, earning them the tag 'the Rush of thrash metal'. After disbanding in 1996 and reuniting in 2010, they released their long-awaited sixth studio album *Dissonance Theory* through Century Media Records in October 2025 - their first new studio material in over thirty years.
