About

Big Daddy Wilson (born Adam Wilson Blount, 1960) grew up in Edenton, North Carolina, and only discovered the blues while serving in the U.S. Army in Germany - an encounter that reshaped his life entirely. He settled in northern Germany, built a following across the European blues circuit, and has released more than a dozen albums, most of them on the German label Ruf Records. His warm, deep baritone moves freely between delta blues, soul, gospel and folk.
