About

Walter Trout (born 1951, Ocean City, New Jersey) is an American blues-rock guitarist and singer with over five decades on stage. He served as lead guitarist in Canned Heat and John Mayall's Bluesbreakers during the 1980s before launching his solo career in 1989, building a particularly devoted following in Europe. A near-fatal liver disease and transplant in 2014 sidelined him briefly; he returned with Battle Scars (2015) and has toured relentlessly ever since.
