Anton Goudsmit (Haarlem, 1967) is one of the Netherlands' most versatile jazz guitarists, widely known as a member of New Cool Collective and as founder of his own quartet The Ploctones. He graduated summa cum laude from the Amsterdam Conservatory in 1994 and in 2010 received both the VPRO/Boy Edgar Prize and Het Duiveltje, the award for best Dutch pop guitarist. His music ranges freely across jazz, funk, blues and beyond.
The live album 'Jasper Somsen Invites Anton Goudsmit Live!' was released in April 2026, recorded in Wageningen as part of the Jazz in Wageningen concert series.
