Analepsy is a Portuguese slamming brutal death metal band, founded in 2013 in Lisbon and now based in Ourém. Their music blends old-school brutal death metal with slam elements, drawing on themes of cosmology and science fiction. Albums such as Atrocities from Beyond (2017) and Quiescence (2022) cemented their standing in the international extreme metal scene, backed by a win at the Portuguese W:O:A Metal Battle in 2017 and headline shows in Japan.
Analepsy released the single and video clip 'Recursive Singularity' on July 17, 2026, their first completely new material after a series of reworked versions of older songs.
The band announced David Bento as the new singer, with which the complete 2026 line-up was revealed.
Analepsy's concert in Nijmegen as part of the 'European Vacation 2026' tour was sold out.
The single 'Sentient Decay' appeared in February 2026 as a precursor to the new material.
In September 2025, the band released the single 'Cryogenic Rebirth', a completely rebuilt version of an earlier song.
