6lack is the stage name of Ricardo Valdez Valentine Jr., an American R&B singer, songwriter and rapper born in Baltimore and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He broke through with his debut album Free 6lack (2016) and the single 'Prblms', earning his first Billboard Hot 100 entry and a Grammy nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album. With five Grammy nominations and multiple platinum records, he blends melancholic R&B with trap and alternative soul, and is a member of the Atlanta collective Spillage Village.
